COVID-19 has also Brought about a Pandemic of Depression

Sajal is a regular student of class IX. He always likes to go to school. But since the Coronavirus spreads in Bangladesh, his school is closed. He can't even go outside let alone meet his friends because of lockdown in his area. He has to remain home the whole day. He can't do things the way he used to do before. He can't play cricket with his friends, because they are also trapped like him. Now, before doing anything, he has to make sure that he is following the safety measures against COVID-19.All these are creating extra pressure on him. Moreover, because of staying locked for days after days, he is now suffering from anxiety and depression. Often, he becomes scared thinking that he or any of his family members or friends might be affected by COVID-19. He also worries that he is falling behind academically, and so, he will fail in the examination. He starts worrying about almost everything and gradually sinks into depression. Now, he neither eats nor sleeps in time. Nor he can pay attention to his studies. His parents finally notice the change in his behaviour and help him come out of this situation.
