Tense in English Grammar
Happy to know that you are eager to learn English Grammar. To learn English Language you should have knowledge about Tense. In English Grammar Tense is called the soul of English Language. Now I am going to discuss about it.
Tense is used to refer to the time of action or event. In short, it is said that the time of performing a work is called tense.
Mainly Tense is of three kinds. They are; Present, Past & Future. Present is classified into Four . Past and Future are also the same.
The structures of 12 Tenses at a glance
Present
1.Present Indefinite Tense: Subject + Present form of verb+ {(s/es) if subject is 3rd person singular Number.} ........
2. Present Continuous Tense: Subject + am / is / are + ing at the end of the verb+ .....
3. Present Perfect Tense : Subject + have / has + Past participle of Verb + ........
4. Present Perfect Continuous Tense : Subject + have been / has been + ing at the end of the verb+ .....
Past
1. Past Indefinite Tense: Subject + Past form of verb+......
2. Past Continuous Tense: Subject + was / were + ing at the end of the verb+ .....
3.Past Perfect Tense: Subject + had + Past participle of Verb + ........
4. Past Perfect Continuous Tense : Subject + had been + ing at the end of the verb+ .....
Future
1. Future Indefinite Tense: Subject + shall / will + Present form of verb + .....
2. Future Continuous Tense : Subject + shall be / will be + ing at the end of the verb+ .....
